Another week down in Stevenson Ranch!
We weren't able to teach Dom this week. She said she was "busy every day" like all teens say, as they sit on the couch and scroll through their instagram feed and watch netflix. Millennials man...but I'm also one so I can't really talk lol.
We went on exchanges with the Valencia zone leaders this week and I got to go with Elder Wade! (My old companion!) I miss that stud! Such a good guy. Anyways, we had a funny knock-out together haha. I think we knocked an Indian community because everyone seemed to be from India! It was tough trying to talk to all of them and understand their accents. We made it work though and got a few referrals! We also taught a woman named Lucinda. She is so prepared! She was introduced to the church by her member friend and has really latched on to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We taught her about the Plan of Salvation and she is currently really sick and can't do much other than sit on the couch or lay in bed. We taught her about the Atonement and how it's not just there for our sins but for our pains and sicknesses as well. We taught about how one day we will all be made whole and perfect just like our Heavenly Father. At the end of the lesson she said the sweetest thing. She said "Elders...how can I let Heavenly Father know I want him to bless me with the Atonement?" People that don't have the Gospel in their lives are searching for the peace and strength it brings...they just don't know where to find it. Elder Ardern shared a cool thought about this...her said "Refer quickly to the Plan of Salvation so people will know where to hang their coats."
We transfer planned again this week and things are coming along! I can't wait for all these missionaries to see what next transfer holds for them! God really knows where people need to be placed because it just falls into place every time.
Well I love you all so much. I hope you have a great week! Sorry for the short email this week.
Love Elder Jensen
