It's so cool that even when we don't see anything come from our own efforts we still receive the miracles just for trying.

Happy 2017 everyone! At the beginning of my mission I was 100% convinced that 2017 was never going to come...and now here it is. Time has flown by and it's freakin me out! This is the year that my mission comes to a close...wow. I really have to make this last bit count!

Anyways, this week was super sick! We had some awesome miracles happen in our area. The office work is starting to wind down so we can finally get back out there and teach! Yesterday was one of our first days spending all our time in the field and we had a sweet day planned out. We had a ton of people we were going to stop by and we knew we were going to see miracles...but as the day went on everything seemed to fall through and no one was answering. Knockout came around and we knew that good things were going to come from it...but...nothing. We walked back to our car and just looked at each other like "Weird...today was a dud." We got in the car and our phone rang. A family that had been taught by the missionaries about 6 months ago contacted  us and wanted us to come and teach them again! Now we have 2 families that we are teaching! Our teaching pool is really growing and God is really helping us get the area back on track!! It's so cool that even when we don't see anything come from our own efforts we still receive the miracles just for trying and putting forth the faithful effort to succeed. He never lets us fail.

We had to take some cars down to the San Fernando valley this week as well and the only way to do it was to both drive down separate. Haha it was so weird!! I haven't driven alone in quite a while but I'm not gonna lie that 30 minute car ride was heavenly!

Elder Ardern is coming to our mission in a few weeks and we have been really busy preparing for his arrival. He gave us an itinerary and it looks like he wants to sit down with both of the assistants and talk to them! I'm stoked to talk to a general authority face to face! I'll try and snag a selfie with him...wish me luck.

Well I love you all so much and hope you had a great New years. Be safe and have a great week!

Love,
Elder Jensen
